The safe area (or safe zone) on your channel banner is the area where you should place all the key information (logo, channel name, tagline) so that it’s visible with all screen sizes. If you want to use a larger image, you can always try making it smaller or converting the PNG file into a JPG file. Of course the higher the quality of the image the better, so long as the file size is under 6 MB (which is quite generous, so most high-quality images should fit into that range). That’s why the best size for Youtube banner images is 2560 x 1440 pixels since this is suitable for larger images on TV displays. Making your banner image at least the minimum dimension of 2048 x 1158 pixels will prevent it from stretching out on TV displays, where it shows up as a background image. It would be bad marketing practice to have viewers see a non-fitting image when they first discover your channel otherwise. They have largely the same troops and buildings as the other Romans, and their campaign isn't particularly exciting, as many factions will eventually expand into Greece. They start off with two cities in southern Italy, and at the behest of the Senate they usually expand east into Greece and and fight the Greek Cities and Macedon. The Brutii are one of the three Roman factions. Now, there are only 11 playable factions in the game, but that doesn't mean I can't rank them! What I got was one of the single most satisfying gaming experiences I've ever encountered. ![]() I've always had an interest in history, so the thought of playing through Roman conquests was quite appealing. Their climb up my rankings has been gradual but persistent, and culminated with my introduction to the Total War series. My gaming tastes have always been widely varied, but there are a few genres that I favor above others. Im newer to the game so take what I say with a grain of salt (Not to mention I play with mods). These are ThisIsAnOddName's Top Ten Factions in Rome: Total War ranked for Ed Bellis's What Would You Do. Though typically you won't be using only 1 kind of skirmisher as they all are needed together to accomplish the many different roles the battlefield demands. So I guess the faction with the best types of archers (which is debatable i'm sure) has the best skirmisher unit. Not to mention raining 1-2 volleys of fire on enemy wavering troops to make them route faster. The fire arrows help destroy wooden towers and walls. They can arch over walls if i remember correctly which helps assaulting units inside structures. Generally I guess if I had to pick, archers would be the *best* cause they can typically handle both heavy and light types of infantry ok (although it's a jack of all trades, master of none situation). Though to answer your question cause I don't wanna be a jerk: Knowing your enemies units: Are a certain type of skirmishers better in their faction then they are in yours? Do they specialize in a type of infantry? Do they have high armor units that can tank your shots or will they be able to rush in before you get many shots in? Will they out range you with certain types of units? Do they have good flank units or will you have more room to preform maneuvers with your own? Do they have many pike/phalanx units you will need to shoot from the side/back? Knowing your own units: Are a certain type of skirmishers better in the faction you are in then they are in others? Do they have a capability to be useful after their ammo is gone, by either fighting enemy skirmishers/light inf or cavalry? Does your general give crucial bonuses to certain units? Are they costly to upkeep? Terrain: Can you get in close by sneaking javelin's or will you need infantry to guide them in for their short range? Does the area your faction is in have many hills that low trajectory units can use or will have to improvise overcome? Will you have to shoot over walls? Does the terrain support quick movement or will you have time to bombard for longer? Are you defending or attacking? By far id say tactical advantages really determines how well your units will preform and which ones you should pick. Slingers for one faction may be all stars and the ones available for another won't be worth anything. Not to mention each different faction has different types of ranged units. They all have different uses from each other. So obviously, these units have different purposes and niches, but which do you generally find best used in battle most often?Īnd, since not all units were created equal, which units are best? Personally, I'm a big fan of Rhodian slingers.ĭon't forget one of the most crucial things of skirmishers: armor piercing capability.* Javelin men - High damage, low range and ammo Slingers - Low damage, high range and ammo Generally, there are three types of dedicated skirmisher units that seem to follow the PayDay model of damage output: However, if used properly, they can be crucial to winning a battle.
